The manor's rambling 60 acres re-define the meaning of unlimited roaming, and offer loads of sweet spots for outdoor happenings.


People love getting the freedom of this land, which is mainly organic and un-manicured.

There are fun curiosities around too – a crumbling miniature chapel on the island wood, derelict glass-houses, a sacred well , graveyard, and a pigeon-house. Fancy a stroll around the grounds? Watch the slideshow.

Then there's the length of the river with brown trout, even salmon sometimes. A rambling secret orchard. A heronry. Two mature forests are left to themselves, and we've planted more. Sheep and horses graze in the meadows, which we are now re-inventing as bumblebee reserve.
